“We few, we
precious few, We, who have shed
our blood together, shall forever be, A BAND OF BROTHERS A Marine may leave
the Corps But the Corps will
NEVER Leave the Marine! ONCE A MARINE,
ALWAYS A MARINE!” |
|
Hello Marine, Corpsman, or Supporter of the U.S. Marine Corps: |
|
It is always good to share with members of the Marine community. One
of our major purposes is to "Take Care of Our Own", a time tested
philosophy of our Corps that will never die. Other things we do, no matter
how profound are negligible to this. You can complete the application information and
send it with your dues via U.S. Postal mail, or just bring it with you when you come to
our meeting next month. |

Our Marine Corps Family meets @ 1900
Elks Lodge #826, 11605 SE McGillivray Blvd., Vancouver, WA SECOND
THURSDAY of each month. ALL MARINES and SIGNIFICANT OTHERS are welcome to
join with us in camaraderie. The business part is normally concluded in about
an hour so that we can enjoy the meeting following the meeting, and solve the
world‘s problems. As it is a ’school night’ we normally start heading home
around 2200. |

|
The League… A great investment… As a member of this family of Marines, you
join a network of loyal friends who care about you and your family. The League
is a unique fraternity of friends who recognize you as one who has paid
his/her dues to society… one who has gone through the gauntlet… |
|
PURPOSE OF THE LEAGUE |
|
Members of the Marine Corps League join together in
camaraderie and fellowship for the purpose of preserving the traditions and
promoting the interests of the United States Marine Corps. This is
accomplished by banding together those who are now serving in the United
States Marine Corps and those who have been honorably discharged from that service.
Voluntarily aiding and rendering assistance to all Marines and former Marines
and to their widows and orphans, and by perpetuating the history of the
United States Marine Corps through fitting acts to observe the anniversaries
of historical occasions of particular interest to Marines. |
